I agree with you hon. Vampires are supposed to be just this side of evil, and I think the best treatment of vampires I ever read was in the book "Those Who Hunt the Night" by Barbara Hambly. I remember that the vampires in there were not sexy, they were cursed and human, and I pitied them at the same time being afraid of them.
