Yeah, there's a difference in not supporting a child for something they do (i.e. commit a crime) versus something they are (gay).

What I don't get is why it's fine and dandy to say "I'd stab my son if he were gay!" Substitute "gay" for "voted Republican" or "went to a Christian church" and try to imagine the reaction. I wonder if Mr. Morgan would still have a job.
