WoW: Lor'Themar Theron, you are one delicious Regent Lord.

SPOILER ALERT!!! Under the cut are spoilers for the Dominance Offensive story line.

I'm on part six, I think, of the story, and today had me traipsing down to Silvermoon to speak with Lor'themar because Garrosh wants him to hurry the fuck up poking at bees nests with pointy sticks with his experiment on the mogu box they uncovered in Pandaria. Lor'themar, Rommath, and Aethas Sunreaver are all pretty much, "Fuck Garrosh! You, though, you can come help us."

Anyway, after talking to everyone and completing the quests, Lor'themar pulls the player aside and...well...if you ever had any question regarding just how kindly Lor'themar is taking to Garrosh's idiocy, this should clear it up:

I'm still trying to decide if the capitalization of "Alliances" was a typo on Blizzard's part, or a clever insinuation. Either way, I have been so pleased with everything about Lor'themar in this story line so far, and this? This made me rub my hands together and while I let out a lengthy, evil chuckle. We were promised we'd be revisiting the blood elves this expansion, and boy are we ever catching a glimpse of what Lor'themar has been up to, and I can't help but be pleasantly surprised so far.

Obviously blood elves aren't going to be switching factions (I can just imagine the QQ if they were), but I am more than pleased to see all the blood elves bringing up the past and pretty much putting a foot down and firmly stating, "No, enough is enough." Furthermore, Rommath points out just how stupid it is for Aethas to assume Jaina Proudmoore is going to keep the Kirin Tor neutral (and I've heard rumors that Jaina will, in fact, kick the blood elves/Sunreavers out of the Kirin Tor, or threaten to).

It's like the writers suddenly remembered there was this thing called lore and are actually using it and applying it logically.

Aethas for his part draws parallels to Kael'thas's path and the one Garrosh is on now in search of power.

What's this? Learning from history? Being totally reasonably suspect of another's motives? Preparing to possibly break away from the Horde? Where's my fainting couch?

So far I can't tell if Lor'themar knows what's happened to Vol'jin, though I do know Baine is aware as is Thrall. Vol'jin right now is pretending to be dead and plotting his next move. Sylvanas, thus far, has yet to make an appearance, which makes me a little anxious, though then again I already fear that ship has already sailed and Blizzard is determined to see her go full-on villain at some point.

And Gallywix is firmly on the side of profit, and for now he's got his lips sewn to Garrosh's ass.

Anyway it's nice to see my favorite race getting some attention and watching Lor'themar grow a spine. This also has some serious role-play implications too, I'm sure.
