If you're playing a race who doesn't reach adulthood until about sixty years of age, stating that your character is fifteen and wearing a slave collar is...um...more than slightly off-putting to say the least.

What I hope is that some of it is that the players themselves are teenagers, or at least around 20 so that they're still close enough to teenagers that they don't realize how creepy it comes off to older players. At that age, anything over 25 is ancient, don't ya' know?

It could also be, "I want to have a young character," and they either don't read up on the race they're playing or they can't grasp that a lengthier lifespan means maturing at much later ages than they themselves did.

...or it's just a lot of perverts and I'm being way too naive.

Oh yeah. I completely forgot about how anything over that mid-twenty mark is old and OMG dinosaurs walked with the earth with us.

I hope that they just weren't thinking. I really do but then I've seen others when it was on purpose and holy pedobear. :/
