I forgots about my precioussss
Oct. 5th, 2009 10:06 amOh, I've been gushing about it on Twitter, but I forgot to mention it here. Over the weekend, my old cell phone decided to be a cheap bastard and started to give me trouble flipping it open and was visibly cracking (and well, it was only $24 when I bought it, so it was cheap). Then the outside display went all wonky on me, so I figured I better get a new phone before the phone broke completely and left me with nothing. Since it's a pre-pay/pay-as-you-go cell phone, I was worried about losing my phone number, but I was able to get a new phone and switch my number over to it.
Anyway, I got an LG Scoop. It looks like this:

I got the one on the far left. Isn't it pretty? Considering the $24 phone I had didn't even have a camera in it, nor could it play special ring tones, this is a serious upgrade for me. I can use a MicroSD card to play mp3's or transfer images to and from my computer. I can take pictures or videos and upload them online. And I even have an application that lets me use AIM so I can chat for real instead of doing the message forwarding thing (and given that I get unlimited texting on the plan I have, I'm all kinds of ridiculously happy about it). I've been so happy about having it, and I've been gushing about it to anyone who will listen. I fear soon I'm going to start cuddling it and calling it my precious.
...I am that much of a nerd, yes.
Anyway, if you have my cell phone number, it's still the same as it was last year. If you'd like to have my cell phone number for chatting/texting, then drop me a line here and I'll see about PMing you. :)
