You knew I was a bleeding-heart liberal anyway.

<GOP> "Hey, Obama, (*snickering*) we're going to have this Republican Retreat and we thought (*tittering*) you should come and talk to us. (*guffaw*) Afterward, we'll do a Q&A session and try to make you look bad."

<Obama> "Uh, you sure about this?"

<GOP> "Yeah, man, we're cool with it. (*giggle*)"

<Obama> "Well, OK, but only if I can invite the media."

<GOP> "Oh, sure, sure. (*snicker*) Let the cameras roll!"

<Obama> "All right, then. *proceeds to verbally kick the GOP's butt all over Baltimore, Maryland*"

<GOP> "Um, perhaps we did not think this through..."

<Fox News> "Turn the cameras off! Turn the cameras off! We're getting our proverbial asses handed to us!"

<GOP> "Well, there's a mistake we're never making again."

It's only taken a year, but it's nice to see the Obama I voted for make an appearance again. Also, I have to wonder if the GOP was paying attention during the 2008 elections. They should have known better than to try to go toe-to-toe with Obama like this. The man has a gift for debate and speech, and they'd need someone on the same level to even begin to keep up with him. It's suicide otherwise.

Part of me is curious to see how Rush et. al. respond to this come Monday.
