Let's have a moment of silence...

...for Sam's ridiculous goatee. It had to be sacrificed in the name of finding a job since scaring little children and conservative adults, while being highly entertaining, does not offer a health plan or pay anything at all.

(If you don't remember, Sam had a goatee long enough to braid, and he enjoyed stroking it when he was plotting evil deeds. He's now trimmed it down to a regular goatee and will probably thin it out some more. It was kind of amusing last night to watch him reach up to stroke it and grumble about there being nothing there. He'd been growing it pretty much since he got out of the Navy in 2005.)

Anyway, I need to go make the kiddo get cleaned up and changed. Mom's coming over later for some steaks that we are going to grill outside on Dad's old charcoal grill. Yum.
