Yesterday: *thud snore*
Sep. 17th, 2010 11:00 amLet me tell you about my yesterday, internets.
I left the house at 7:30 AM to get the kiddo to school, got some breakfast, ran to the bank, and then hit Sam's house around 9:00 AM so we could drive up to Black Mountain, an hour long drive. Why Black Mountain? Well, turns out that's the nearest UPS store location to where we live and Sam needed to use UPS to ship his brand new laptop (as in, less-than-a-month-old new) back to Toshiba to replace his hard drive.
With a little bit of a headache (that involved Sam needing to use my cell to call Toshiba back to get the service order number they forgot to give him), we managed to get that shipped off. Then, we went to Wendy's for a light lunch, which turned into a very long wait after they got my order wrong. Long enough that the manager of the place gave me a card for a free combo meal next time I turn up as well as a free small Frosty.
By the time we got back to town, it was almost 2:00 PM, and I had enough time to check my mail and let Sasha out to use the bathroom. At 2:20, we had to leave to pick up the kiddo and go back to Sam's house so I could do laundry. We didn't finish there until after 7:30. Got home a little after 8:00 PM to a very hyper Sasha, who spent the next 20 minutes not letting me out of her sight lest I ran off again and left her home alone.
Got the kiddo fed and in the bath, then in bed by 9:00 PM. I passed out before 10:00 PM after managing a little bit of time to sit and snuggle with Sam on the couch while we watched a little television. Don't ask me what we watched. I was too out of it to process anything.
So, for those of you expecting to see me online yesterday, I apologize. As you can see, I was way too busy to get anywhere near a computer, let alone having the energy to get online.
Today, I've got the headache of dealing with some financial issues. (Nothing major, just a pain in the ass.)
