Blizzard, is this how you intended it to sound, or am I just a perv?

Last night, a quest-giver told me this:

"I know why you are here, Folami. Your reasons sing within your fluids."

Granted, it was a water spirit, but uh... Yeah. ~Creepy!~

Too bad I was soloing and not in a group. I totally would have gone in character just to have Folami sputtering and turning about fifty shades of red.

My Thoughts on Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects

So. Yeah.

I went into this not expecting Neil Gaiman or Stephen King levels of skill. Sadly, I know better when it comes to books based on games, or a series of books written by several different authors, and Thrall is both. However, the plot which appeared to be setting up well stalled half-way through and turned into a children's animated series of poor villains with a Gary Stu lead.

Thrall: TotA Because I have to snark what happens to Alexstrasza.

Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, Aspect of the red dragonflight and an all-powerful woman who can seriously fuck up your day. That is, unless you make an organized attack on her home and make it look like her consort has betrayed all the dragons by destroying all five sanctums with their eggs. If you do that, she turns into an empty depressed shell of a dragon and runs away rather than turning around and going medieval on the assholes responsible, the assholes currently setting up their base of operations at Wyrmrest Fucking Temple.

Or so I learned in Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects. Look, I was an emokid and am still, at heart, an emokid at times. Alexstrasza's sections in the middle of the book read like something I might have written from the darkest depths of my soul as a teenager. All that's missing is a Linkin Park soundtrack.
