That was unexpected.

Just checked and it looks like my power cord will be delivered this afternoon. Possibly. I know it's in town at least, hopefully it got there in time to be sorted with the mail.

Right. So, it's not the adapter.

The good news is I'm still under warranty with Dell. The bad news is it might not be fixed until the end of this week/beginning of next week. I'm choosing to suck it up and pay the 59 bucks for a technician to come out here to replace the part rather than mailing it in, which when you add in the gas money it'll take me to get to the UPS store and pay all the shipping costs, will probably come out close to the same price cost-wise and take 10 days rather than three to four for the tech.

Totally renewing my warranty soon as I can swing that too because this computer has been awesome for me, and the service I got today was fast and easy. If this job comes through in the next couple of months, I'm totally putting money into a desktop and I just might push for Dell.

What this means WoW-wise is I won't be there, probably all week and into the weekend. So, no role-play save for the forums, which is both annoying and upsetting. But, hey, Solivar, at least you know I'm coming back and won't be gone any longer than that. (Seriously, I will put WoW on Sam's computer if this doesn't work.)

I'm kind of bummed because I was looking forward to the distraction of the game given the bad news I got last night.

Now to go make the kiddo do his homework.
