Not Sure If Want...Pretty Sure Don't Want

The new Wonder Woman (television series):

The good: To me, she actually looks like someone who could give the bad guys a really bad day, someone who can take care of herself without needing to be rescued. (Do you hear me, David E. Kelley?)
The bad: The costume sucks. I mean, seriously? It looks like bad Halloween get-up I can buy at Spencer's. And that top, oh that top. You know, it's entirely possible to show off cleavage and enhance one's bustline without being in danger of flashing the world if you so much as breathe wrong. I should know. *cough*
Also, part of Wonder Woman's schtick was the patriotic theme of her costume. It's not a deal breaker for me, it's just that I do have some nostalgia from watching the old Lynda Carter Wonder Woman series as a really young kid. Girls have so few women superheroes to look up to as it is, and after what's been happening with the Wonder Woman comic reboot, I'm feeling more than a little leery of a television series (that's possibly doomed to failure already).
On the other hand, Carey Elwes is involved so I might have to watch it just to see how he manages to perform in what is surely to be a train wreck.
Oh, Joss, you are by no means perfect, but I still wish you could have directed a Wonder Woman movie. Somehow I feel that it would be far better than what's coming.
