I have my reasons.
Feb. 22nd, 2009 02:49 amI've been writing again, though some days, like tonight, I spend hours on only a couple of paragraphs because I have to perfect them. However, there are stories inside of me, and I want to get them out. Not sure anything will ever come of it, but I want to put it out there.
Anyway, right now I'm working on an actual book for one of my favorite rp characters named Selene. I've posted a couple ofsucky excerpts or whatever over at
jade_inspired, and I am actually putting effort into this. Don't know if it'll last, but I've got at least one person who seems happy for me to be writing it.
As always, music helps my muse function, and while I'm starting Selene's story prior to where Aria picked up, I am thinking ahead. When I reach the point where I'll introduce a very important character, I think the writing will turn carthartic in a way. I had thought I'd find the prospect of writing it painful after some events centered around another player, but I'm actually looking forward to it. (And, no, not because I'm going to kill him off in some horrible fashion - that wouldn't work at all seeing as he's important to Selene, but I've said too much and am getting waaaay ahead of myself.) Usually I dread dredging up memories like this, but for some reason these aren't so bad and actually pleasant (if you ignore the fact that both characters are pretty much evil and sadistic >.>).
And yes, this has all been an excuse to post lyrics that inspire me as I want to remember this song when it comes time to write the scene in my head even if it's in the distant future. If anything it might encourage me to keep writing so I can get to that point in the plot.

"Flames"
VAST
Close your eyes
Let me touch you now
Let me give you something
That is real
Close the door
Leave your fears behind
Let me give you
What you're giving me
You are the only thing
That makes me want to live at all
When I am with you
There's no reason to pretend that
When I am with you
I feel flames again
Just put me inside you
I would never ever leave
Just put me inside you
I would never ever leave you
