From the
altfriday5:
1. What's your favorite kind of weather?
It's a toss-up between a cloudless, breezy autumn day, and a loud summer thunderstorm.
2. What do you most like to do when the weather outside is your favorite kind? What do you mostly end up doing?
In autumn, I try to find an excuse to get outside and just sit in a quiet spot while I write, read, or meditate. I used to enjoy tromping through the woods to see the leaves changing, and now that the kiddo is older I might start doing that again come fall.
3. What's your least favorite kind of weather?
Summers here in South Carolina. They're so unbearably humid, and on days when the sun is bright, I feel like an ant under a magnifying glass. That, and I can't be outside for longer than a few minutes at a time without heavy-duty sunblock (Spf 50) because I will burn horribly. (Once, I timed it. After eleven minutes of laying in the sun, I started to turn pink and was on my way to a slight sunburn.)
4. What do you most like to do when the weather outside is your least favorite kind? What do you mostly end up doing?
Curling up with a good book, writing, or playing a game. Sometimes I'll just clean up one room of the house until it's spotless.
5. Given the choice between a climate that's more or less the same year-round or one with varied weather depending on season, which would/do you choose? Why?
I'm not sure. While I say I hate the summers here in the Southeast (and I do), I'm not so sure I'd want a place that had the same climate year-round. I rather like having the cooler auntumn and mild winter to look forward to. I like being able to discern the differences in the seasons because it's a reminder that the world keeps on spinning no matter what else is happening in my life.
