Mom finally got her results back today. She has fibrous tissue or fibrous cystic tissue (her words, not mine) that show up odd on a mammogram sometimes, and it can change over time. By the way, any of you in the medical profession or who are going to be in the medical profession, please keep in mind that when your patient is waiting for test results that could potentially change their lives, it's stressful and not necessarily just for your patient. Please, let them know with as much accuracy as possible how long they might have to wait, and if at all possible, get the results sooner. Really, your patients will appreciate it.
