Computer issues

My adapter for the laptop isn't working this morning. Not sure if I can fix it here or if I have to order a new one. So, uh, might only have limited access to the 'net for the next couple of days. Sam'll let me borrow his laptop for minor things I'm sure, but this means no WoW and no writing on the computer at least.

To say I'm upset is putting it mildly.

Update: I am on Sam's computer and have ordered a new adapter for the laptop. However, the new adapter won't be here for "3 to 6 business days." So there's a chance I won't be at Tuesday's tavern night. Definitely won't be raiding this weekend and I will miss Monday's try for the For the Horde achievement.

To make matters worse, I was already having anxiety issues and nightmares. To top it all off, Sam's working this weekend and there's a wedding at the hotel tomorrow, so he's going to be working until super late. Loneliness ahoy. -_-

Yes, I'll have Sam's computer, so I can post to the forums and keep up with my officer-ly duties that way, but still, no WoW and no guildies to talk to. At least he has Office installed.

And did I mention my headset is dying too? (Purchasing a new one of those next week with monthly check. Sam was able to find an awesome deal on an adapter for me, and if it's not the adapter, I'm out only a few bucks.)

...that sucks. Hope the adapter gets there quickly and that IS the problem instead of there being some other issue! *hugs*

Is there any chance you could install WoW on your boyfriend's computer? I understand if he won't want to give it up for hours every evening, but at least you could get to do one or two of the things you've got planned.

Well, the issue with that is two-fold. First is that the boyfriend's laptop graphics card gives him the occasional trouble and is dying a very, very slow death. The other is that when I initially downloaded WoW back in February, it took a couple of days since the downloader just plain sucked. It ate up our bandwidth despite the download itself being so slow I may as well have been trying it on dial-up. I honestly believe that by the time I got it all downloaded, my new adapter would be here.

Also, I have plenty I can be doing out-of-game, namely working on some writing I've put off. The big bummer is missing out on raiding and, potentially, missing one Tavern Night.
