I've been writing...or trying to do something that closely resembles writing. I've not been terribly successful. Between real life stress and a sudden inability to be able to type more than 100 words or so in a sitting, this year has been exceedingly difficult. However, last night I realized I'd challenged myself way too hard by trying to do something overly complicated for
origfic_bingo. I made the decision to scale back and just do a simple one-line Bingo and not focus on lengthy stories that link together.
Naturally, I decided to write a little smut. (Who here is really surprised by this?) I thought I'd share a little snippet of what I managed to produce last night, and then I hope by Tuesday to have five little stories to post. (Not all of them will be erotica, okay?)
First, just a little background andsome a lot of rambling:
( Rambling about consent issues, power dynamics/kink. )
Sorry for so much rambling and over-thinking. It's just something my brain had to pick apart.
( And the NSFW exerpt. Not terribly explicit, but also not exactly vague. Warnings for dubious consent. )

Random Post is Random
Nov. 27th, 2011 11:32 pmHow to know you're writing WoW smut: The term "digitigrade" is used to describe a character's legs.
In other news, it's been a long ass time since I wrote any femslash. It feels nice now that I've actually got it working. I hope to have it finished in a day or two and it'll be filed under "Even more than you wanted to know about Folami." It takes place pre-Steadfast (post-WoTLK but pre-Cata), and honestly it's just an excuse for smut, but I'm declaring it personal canon.

Writing: Tamingthemuse Prompt
May. 15th, 2011 02:54 amTitle: Homesick (Part 1/?)
Fandom; Pairings: Original; AU Selene/Ballari
Prompt: #251 - Melody
Warnings: N/A
Rating: R (Eventual NC-17)
Word Count: 957
Summary: Ballari could sing in her own way.
Notes: Two characters of mine from vastly different table-top campaigns. In my head, I'd always wondered what they might be like together and the roles they'd take on in a relationship. Those who are familiar with Selene will find that she seems a little OOC here, and I'd have to agree; however, this is also an AU Selene who has suffered another loss and who finds herself in a strange world. Next part she'll show a little more of her old self. Those who remember Ballari might find it surprising to see her show a more vulnerable side, but it seemed right when I put her with Selene. (Technically it's the City of Heroes versions of them that I made, but there's no real mention of the world they're in so I didn't feel it fit that fandom.)
Journal Specific notes: This isn't filtered in my Smut filter because there's no sex as of yet. There will be, possibly in part two, at least that's my plan for now. If you want to be in that filter and either aren't already or aren't sure you are, just drop me a line.
I’m not the sort of woman to get sentimental. Emotions can be hazardous in my line of work—empathetic assassins are soon dead assassins. Even so, there had been the occasional exception to my “no attachments” rule; Mykolas and Karl sprang to mind, two men it still hurt to think about. Yet, despite the continued pain of their losses and the potential for betrayal, I found myself inexplicably drawn to Ballari again and again.
( Maybe it was our shared loneliness. )

I come bearing smut...
Oct. 26th, 2009 11:29 pm...that subject sounded better in my head.
Ahem, anyway, I wrote smut tonight for the first time in...well, I can't remember. Not only that, it's Clotho and Saylin smut. Inspiration hit me tonight after some joking between Sam and I yesterday, which is funny because the joking was just one or two lines, but inspiration is inspiration.
I posted it over at my writing journal,
jade_inspired, but you have to friend the journal and let me know you're okay with smut before you can read it. I know, it's a silly rule of mine, but I don't want to force shitty erotica on people unexpectedly, even if I do give warnings along with a rating (and in case you don't want other people to know you're reading it, you can leave a screened comment here and only you and I will know). It's also so I can make sure I don't get in trouble with LJ by allowing little under-aged Suzy or Timmy to read about naughty body parts on the Internets.
Incidentally, typing "clock" instead of "cock" leads to interesting sentences. It's almost like Mad Libs, in a way.
So, um, yeah. That's all there is to report...well, except I've still got Madoc's introduction to finish (NOT smut), which will be part of the same novel as Karl's introduction that I posted not so long ago. And no, I don't know why I share this either.
