Precious and Fragile Things

This episode, you guys. You guys, this episode. OMFG I didn't think this season would offer up any surprises. I was so wrong. Words cannot express the sucker punch this episode delivered.

Oh my god, next week is going to be tense.

It's that time again!

Last night's episode was far, far better than last week, though really I think that's because Castiel came back and seemed to help bring the brothers back into some semblance of balance. However, I am hopeful they can avoid going over the cliff or at least not slam into the jagged rocks at the bottom of said cliff. This week will be less of a rehash and more of my silly thoughts derived from notes I took during the episode.

Pre-episode thoughts: Woo, Impala! Woo, Castiel! Woo, it can only go up from last week!

Overall a much, much better episode, and it looks like the brothers can still get back on track. Of course, I'm going to say we need more Castiel and Crowley!

So, since this is the first time in the show's history that I can actually watch the episodes as they air, I thought perhaps I would start my own weekly episode recap. Included in these recaps might also be some commentary on just a few of the many issues I've always had with the show's portrayal of women, but mostly I'll focus on the story and where I think they're possibly headed.

I'm not going to be making too many predictions and am pretty much just going to rehash what happened in the episode. As the season wears on these entries will be more about my opinions over how the show is doing as a whole.

I was pretty much on the fence about season six as a whole before even watching the episode. I'm still there on the fence, but I know I'll keep watching to see what the heck is really going on here.
