I'm leaving for Atlanta tomorrow for two nights, and I was chatting with Sam while waiting on laundry and handling some other adult responsibilities.

P.S.: My purse is not really a purse. It's a canvas bag I got for signing up for the Millionaire's club at Books-A-Million. It's got plenty of space in it, enough room for me to put a couple of books along with my wallet, a hair brush, and whatever else I might need while out and about. (Books are a necessity at all times.) Even with all that in there, it's still ridiculously roomy and far more than I need. As a result, I will put a receipt in there after grocery shopping and completely forget about it because I can never see it until I go to clean out the dang thing. That's when you'll hear me say, "Where the hell did all this come from?!"

...you know, maybe I should call it my Purse of Holding.

It turns out you can learn some pretty horrifying things about your significant other by going through his/her music collection. Sam loaned me his external HD that's loaded with music so I could grab what I liked. For various reasons (mostly that I'm lazy), I haven't had a chance to really look through the files. Seeing as I have to give it back tomorrow, I decided to do it today in between doing laundry and other chores. What I found was...well, read on:

The Kung Fu movies statement is a reference to last year when Sam and I were at Barnes & Noble on December 31. Every place was closing early for New Years Eve, much to our disappointment. It was then that I piped up, "Well, why don't we go back to the hotel and watch Iron Monkey?" (I'd seen it in his movie collection he brought over earlier and had wanted to see it for years.) Sam reacted by promptly smiling and telling me, "You are officially awesome for suggesting that."

Plans are for us to watch Once Upon a Time in China 1&2, Transporter (just the first one, I think), and some other action and martial arts flicks while I'm down there.

Yeah, he thinks he hit the girlfriend jackpot or something. :)
